The Center for Community Alternatives’ CORE Center will be having our Annual Recovery Month Celebration on Friday, September 28th, 2018 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm. This FREE event is a celebration of the achievements of individuals who have reclaimed their lives in early and long-term recovery and honors the treatment and recovery service providers who make recovery possible. Our 7th Annual Vision of Hope Luncheon also promotes the message that recovery in all of its forms is possible and encourages citizens to take action to help expand and improve the availability of effective prevention, treatment and recovery services for those in need.
To capture this year’s Recovery Month Theme, “Join the Voices for Recovery: Invest in Health, Home, Purpose, and Community”, our celebration will include stories of hope shared by peers at the CORE Center, Key Note speaker, Dr. Charles Morgan, former Medical Director of OASAS, and Closing speaker, Jennifer Faringer, Director of the Rochester Area National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence. Also invited are Mayor Lovely Warren and Gates Police Chief, Chief VanBrederode.
Please RSVP by Monday September 24th as seating is limited. We will have food catered by Dinosaur BBQ. Please call (585)328-8230 ext. 211 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions regarding this event.
