Blue Dot York Region and LifeNotes Wisdom are hosting a screening of An Inconvenient Sequel in Richmond Hill on October 11 and 12!
Blue Dot is a grassroots movement working to encourage government to recognize, support and enshrine into Canadian law our right to live in a healthy environment.
An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power was released a decade after Al Gore made the original An Inconvenient Truth. The new film highlights the urgent need to fight climate change “with the force of our values,” and the benefits of transitioning to renewable energy.
WHAT: Screening of An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power with opening remarks from Yannick Beaudoin, David Suzuki Foundation director general for Ontario and Northern Canada (October 11), and Liz Couture, local climate change activist, lobbyist and organizer (October 12).
WHEN: Thursday, October 11, and Friday, October 12, from 6:45 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Yannick Beaudoin is the director general for Ontario and Northern Canada at the David Suzuki Foundation. He is an expert on the economics of sustainable development and marine geology and was formerly chief scientist with a United Nations Environment Programme collaborating centre.
Liz Couture is a climate change activist, lobbyist and organizer living and operating a small business in Richmond Hill. As a volunteer with Transition Town, Blue Dot and the Citizens’ Climate Lobby, she brings citizens together at a grassroots level to discuss the need for climate action. Most recently, she has been a speaker, lead organizer and core team member of Unify Toronto’s project Drawdown: The Most Comprehensive Plan Ever Proposed to Reverse Global Warming.
