Autism Ontario-Durham: Young Adult Social Group-Bowling at Leisure Lanes

Posted 3 years ago by Toronto Charities / 56 views

This group meets twice a month and is geared toward older teens and young adults aged 18-35. This is an opportunity to socialize and get out into the community. Activities may include but are not limited to games nights, movie nights, bowling, dinner outings or just hanging out and chatting. Light refreshments will be provided. Peer facilitators are present, however individuals must be able to function independently in a public setting. This event is not suitable for those requiring 1:1 support.

Please note that intake is now required to attend Young Adult Social Group (YASG) events.

If you have never attended a YASG event, please complete the intake form on our website. You will be contacted to confirm your eligibility for the group. Once your eligibility is confirmed, feel free to register for group events.

If you have attended YASG events in the past, you may register for this event.

NOTE: Registration is mandatory. Due to space and safety limitations, only individuals residing or attending school in the Durham Region are eligible to attend. If you do not register for this event, you will not be premitted to enter.

It is recommended that you (the participant) consult with your physician prior to the start of any physical activity. By registering for or participating in an Autism Ontario program or event, the participant agrees that the participant is and will be voluntarily participating in these activities and the participant assumes all risks of injury or death, which might result from these activities.
