Hello! Please join us for our 2nd Annual Breakfast and Baskets Fundraiser Event sponsored by Merrill Lynch with guest speaker Joseph J. Cozzo!! Enjoy a delicious breakfast before starting your work day. We will be holding basket raffles and a silent auction to raise funds for the fight against addiction and mental illness.
All too often we hear in the news, or, more tragically, learn from family, friends or colleagues, the challenges faced by someone with mental illness and/or drug and alcohol addiction. The war against Heroin addiction has now been declared a national emergency yet support for treatment and prevention services remains inadequate. The impact on an individual and those close to them can be devastating, and, frequently, family and friends who are experiencing the unthinkable with their loved ones are unsure of what to do and where to turn. That’s where Endeavor Health Services comes in.
Endeavor Health Services provides treatment, rehabilitation, education and support services for children, adults and families facing serious emotional disturbance, mental illness and/or drug and alcohol abuse. We are a licensed nonprofit recognized for creating a safe, accessible and comfortable treatment environment for those looking to find a better way of life. Last year Endeavor helped more than 3,500 Western New Yorkers in need at our six local treatment centers, through home-based support services, and programming in numerous Buffalo Public Schools.
This event is critical funding source for Endeavor and we are turning to our community for support and participation. Please join us in the fight against addiction and mental illness. We need your help. For additional donation options please visit our website at www.ehsny.org/donate.
This year we welcome Joseph J. Cozzo as our Guest Speaker. Mr. Cozzo is a New York State Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a nationally certified trauma counselor. He currently serves as president and chief executive officer of Buffalo Hearing and Speech Center. In his role as president, he leads an organization whose mission is to improve the quality of life for adults, children and infants with communication disorders and learning difficulties.
Mr. Cozzo is a Health Foundation Fellow, founding member and president of the West Buffalo Charter School Board of Trustees and a member of the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus Board of Directors. He also gives back to the Western New York community through his work in providing volunteer training and consultation with adoptive and foster parents. In 2007, Mr. Cozzo received the Global Citizen of the World Award from The International Institute in recognition of his dedication to foreign adoption and direct work with orphanages in 14 countries around the world.
On behalf of all those struggling with mental illness and chemical dependency, and those devoted to provide these individuals with help and hope, thank you for your anticipated support.
