JOIN US IN CELEBRATING NATIONAL CHILD DAY!
On Tuesday November 20, 2018, Children First Canada is hosting an exciting forum in honour of National Child Day! The event will bring together children and youth with leaders from the business community and charitable sector to discuss the urgent need to invest in kids!
As a highly respected leader in our community, we would be honoured to have you participate in the National Child Day Forum, and support the participation of children and youth to attend!
Your ticket price will cover your participation, and it also includes the sponsorship of one child or youth delegate who will be attending the full day. With the purchase of a table, your support will go even further by allowing four youth to attend!
During morning and afternoon workshops, child and youth delegates will take part in lively discussions that will delve into the findings of our recent report, Raising Canada, which has been making headlines across the country! They will also learn about the Canadian Children’s Charter, an exciting new tool created by thousands of young Canadians from coast to coast to coast, calling on leaders in government, the private sector, and civil society, to take urgent action to improve the lives of our youngest citizens.
At lunch, top business, not-for-profit and government sector leaders are invited to join the youth. During the lunch, the table discussions will be lead by the youth delegates. We are also fortunate to have Theland Kicknosway, an Indigenous youth from Ottawa, giving our keynote presentation. Then Lisa LaFlamme, chief anchor for CTV National News, will be moderating a panel discussion of two top business leaders (including Josh Blair of Telus) and two of our youth ambassadors.
Canada’s young people are not only leaders of the future, they are leaders today.
The National Child Day Forum is an incredible opportunity for children and youth to enhance their leadership skills and directly contribute to a vision and action plan for all of Canada’s children. As a business leader, you will also gain valuable insights into the challenges facing Canadian youth and what role you can play in Raising Canada!
We look forward to welcoming you.
