Aluna Theatre

Legal name: ALUNA THEATRE

Aluna Theatre creates and produces theatre that centers the voices and stories of Latinx artists and communities. Based in Toronto, the organization develops new work through collaborative creation processes, mentorship programs, and artistic residencies that support emerging playwrights and performers. Their productions explore themes of identity, migration, belonging, and resistance through both original plays and reimagined classics. Aluna Theatre also runs workshops and educational initiatives that build theatrical skills within the Latinx community and broader GTA audiences. By prioritizing artistic leadership from Latinx creators, the organization works to shift whose stories appear on stage and who gets to tell them.
