BOB RUMBALL CANADIAN CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE FOR THE DEAF

The Bob Rumball Canadian Centre of Excellence for the Deaf in North York operates as a cultural hub and performance venue dedicated to creating space for Deaf artists and audiences. The organization produces theatre, music, and dance performances featuring Deaf and hard of hearing performers, while also offering training programs and workshops that develop artistic skills within the Deaf community across the GTA. By centering Deaf voices and experiences in the arts, the centre challenges conventional performance practices and creates accessible cultural experiences that celebrate Deaf identity and talent. The organization actively works to increase representation of Deaf artists in professional theatre and to build pathways for emerging performers.
