Camp Gesher
Legal name: CAMP GESHER
Camp Gesher runs an overnight summer camp program that brings together Jewish and Arab-Canadian youth from the Greater Toronto Area for two weeks of shared activities, learning, and relationship-building. Through sports, arts, music, and dialogue sessions, campers aged 8 to 16 develop friendships across cultural and religious lines while building understanding of each other's histories and perspectives. The camp operates with a deliberately mixed population in all activities and dormitories, creating daily opportunities for youth to challenge stereotypes and work collaboratively. By fostering meaningful connections among young people during formative years, Camp Gesher aims to create a generation more capable of peaceful coexistence and mutual respect in an often divided region.
