CANADIAN CHILDREN'S OPERA COMPANY

The Canadian Children's Opera Company produces full-scale opera productions performed by young singers aged 8 to 18 across the Greater Toronto Area. The organization teaches music theory, vocal technique, and stagecraft through rehearsals and performances of classic and contemporary operas, giving children hands-on experience in a professional theatrical setting. By combining musical training with dramatic performance, the company develops confidence and artistic skills in its young participants while creating accessible opera experiences for Toronto audiences. The organization casts children in leading roles rather than relegating them to ensemble parts, allowing performers to develop as serious musicians and actors.
