CANADIAN COAST GUARD AUXILIARY (CENTRAL & ARCTIC) INC.

The Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary (Central & Arctic) Inc. operates a volunteer rescue and safety program across the Great Lakes and Arctic regions. Based in Scarborough, the organization trains and deploys volunteer crews who assist the Canadian Coast Guard with search and rescue operations, maritime safety patrols, and emergency response on water. Members use their own vessels to provide critical support during accidents, missing person cases, and other water-related emergencies. The auxiliary also conducts public education about water safety and boating practices throughout the GTA and surrounding waterways. By mobilizing civilian volunteers with maritime expertise, the organization extends rescue capabilities and response times in areas that would otherwise be underserved, working alongside professional coast guard personnel to protect lives on Canadian waters.
