Canadian Federation of Steelpan

The Canadian Federation of Steelpan teaches steel drum music to youth and adults across Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. The organization offers instruction in playing steelpan, an acoustic percussion instrument with roots in Caribbean culture, through group lessons, workshops, and ensemble performances. By providing access to music education that might otherwise be unavailable in school curricula, the federation exposes participants to a different musical tradition while building confidence and community connection. The group holds regular rehearsals and performs at cultural events and festivals throughout the region, creating opportunities for musicians of all skill levels to develop their craft and share their music with local audiences.
