THE CANADIAN NATIONAL SOCIETY OF THE DEAF-BLIND

The Canadian National Society of the Deaf-Blind provides cultural programming and social engagement for people with combined vision and hearing loss across the GTA and beyond. The organization creates accessible arts and entertainment experiences, including adapted theatre performances, tactile art workshops, and social events designed for deaf-blind participants. Beyond cultural offerings, the society offers peer support, advocacy services, and educational resources to help members navigate daily challenges and connect with others facing similar circumstances. Staff and volunteers work to ensure deaf-blind individuals in North York and surrounding areas can participate meaningfully in cultural life while building community with others who understand their unique communication and accessibility needs.
