CAPTIONING THE WORD

Captioning the Word provides real-time captioning and accessibility services for religious communities across the GTA and beyond. The organization ensures that Deaf and hard of hearing individuals can fully participate in worship services, spiritual events, and community gatherings by offering professional captioning at churches, synagogues, mosques, temples, and other faith organizations. Through trained captioners and adapted technology, Captioning the Word removes communication barriers that have historically prevented many from engaging in spiritual life and community. The Milton-based charity works with houses of worship to make their services accessible, recognizing that inclusion in faith communities strengthens social connection and belonging.
