Caribbeantales

Caribbeantales preserves and shares the stories, history, and cultural heritage of Caribbean communities in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. Through oral history projects, creative writing programs, and digital archives, the organization documents the experiences of Caribbean immigrants and their descendants, ensuring these narratives are recorded and accessible to future generations. Caribbeantales works with schools, libraries, and community centers to bring Caribbean literature and storytelling into public spaces, while also offering workshops and mentorship for emerging writers from Caribbean backgrounds. The organization recognizes that Caribbean voices have long been underrepresented in mainstream Canadian cultural institutions, and it actively works to change that by creating platforms for these stories to be heard, celebrated, and preserved as part of Toronto's multicultural fabric.
