Cast School

Cast School provides free arts education and mentorship to young people from low-income households across Toronto. Through drama, visual arts, music, and media programs, the school develops creative skills and builds confidence in students who might otherwise lack access to quality arts instruction. Cast School's teaching artists work directly with participants in schools, community centers, and their own downtown studio, offering after-school classes, summer camps, and performance opportunities. The organization serves hundreds of young people annually, many of whom face barriers to arts education due to cost or geographic isolation. By connecting students with professional artists and peers, Cast School fosters artistic expression, academic engagement, and pathways to creative careers.
