CERIC

CERIC provides career counselling and employment support to adults facing barriers to work in Toronto and the GTA. The organization helps clients clarify career goals, develop job search strategies, and build skills needed for employment through one-on-one counselling, workshops, and connections to training opportunities. CERIC serves people experiencing poverty, newcomers to Canada, those with disabilities, Indigenous individuals, and others navigating complex obstacles to finding and keeping work. Staff and volunteers work with clients over weeks or months, addressing not just job skills but also systemic barriers like discrimination, gaps in credentials, and lack of professional networks. By connecting people to meaningful employment, CERIC helps individuals gain financial stability and social inclusion while strengthening the local workforce.
