COALITION FOR MUSIC EDUCATION IN CANADA
The Coalition for Music Education in Canada provides music instruction and instruments to children in underserved communities across the GTA and beyond. The organization works with schools and community centers to deliver lessons in voice, strings, and band instruments, removing financial barriers that prevent low-income students from accessing musical training. By partnering with local educators and volunteers, the coalition builds sustainable music programs in neighborhoods where arts funding is limited. The work recognizes that music education develops cognitive skills, builds confidence, and creates pathways to cultural engagement for young people who might otherwise have no access to these opportunities.
