The Dam - Develop Assist Mentor

The Dam provides mentorship and skills development programs for young people facing barriers to employment in Mississauga and the Greater Toronto Area. The organization pairs youth with experienced mentors who guide them through career exploration, resume building, interview preparation, and workplace readiness training. The Dam works with marginalized populations including Indigenous youth, newcomers, and those from low-income backgrounds, helping them build confidence and practical skills needed to secure meaningful work. Through one-on-one mentoring relationships and group workshops, the organization removes obstacles that prevent young people from accessing job opportunities and progressing toward financial independence.
