THE DURHAM REGION FIELD NATURALISTS

The Durham Region Field Naturalists leads outdoor education and conservation activities focused on natural history, ecology, and wildlife observation across the Greater Toronto Area. Members and participants engage in field trips, nature walks, and educational workshops that deepen knowledge of local ecosystems, birds, insects, plants, and geological features. The organization documents natural phenomena through citizen science projects and maintains records that contribute to understanding biodiversity in the region. Based in Oshawa, the group connects people of all ages to the natural world through hands-on exploration and guided discovery, fostering appreciation for the landscapes and species that shape the Durham area.
