DURHAM REGION REFORM SYNAGOGUE
Durham Region Reform Synagogue operates an animal welfare program that provides shelter, medical care, and rehabilitation services for abandoned and injured animals across the GTA. The organization rescues animals in distress, offers veterinary treatment through partnerships with local clinics, and works to place animals in permanent, safe homes. The synagogue's animal welfare initiative reflects its commitment to protecting vulnerable creatures and preventing animal suffering. Volunteers and staff provide daily care including feeding, socialization, and behavioral support for animals awaiting adoption. The program also conducts educational outreach to promote responsible pet ownership and animal safety awareness in the community. Donations of supplies, funding, and volunteer hours support the organization's operations and allow it to continue expanding its rescue and rehabilitation efforts.
