DYANA AFGHAN WOMEN'S FUND

DYANA Afghan Women's Fund provides direct financial support and advocacy for Afghan women and girls facing displacement, poverty, and violence. The organization distributes emergency aid to women in refugee camps and resettlement communities across Toronto and the GTA, prioritizing those who have fled conflict and humanitarian crises. DYANA also connects Afghan women with job training programs, language courses, and mental health services to build pathways toward economic independence and stability. By centering the voices and agency of Afghan women themselves, the fund works to address both immediate survival needs and long-term barriers to self-sufficiency. The organization recognizes that Afghan women often carry additional burdens as primary caregivers while navigating systemic barriers in their new home, and responds with grants, case management, and community partnerships designed to meet those realities.
