THE ECUMENICAL CHAPLAINCY AT THE UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO
The Ecumenical Chaplaincy at the University of Toronto provides spiritual care and counseling to students from diverse religious and secular backgrounds. The chaplaincy offers a space for reflection, worship, and community building across multiple faith traditions, including Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, and non-religious perspectives. Chaplains trained in pastoral care support students navigating personal crises, grief, identity questions, and major life transitions during their university years. The organization facilitates interfaith dialogue and educational events that promote understanding between different belief systems, while also connecting students to broader religious communities in Toronto. By meeting students where they are spiritually, the chaplaincy recognizes that wellbeing extends beyond academics and addresses the existential needs that arise during formative years of young adulthood.
