EVERGREEN

Evergreen transforms vacant and underused green spaces across Toronto and the GTA into thriving community gardens, parks, and natural areas. The organization works with residents, schools, and local partners to design and build outdoor spaces that increase access to nature, improve neighbourhood health, and create gathering places for diverse communities. Evergreen provides funding, expertise, and volunteer coordination to help communities plant trees, establish gardens, restore natural habitats, and maintain these spaces over time. By connecting people to the land around them, Evergreen addresses environmental challenges while building social connections and improving quality of life in urban neighbourhoods.
