FOOTPRINTS

Footprints in Pickering creates opportunities for young people to explore dance, theatre, and visual arts through after-school and summer programs. The organization works with youth aged 6 to 18, offering classes and performances that build confidence and artistic skills in underserved communities across the GTA. Footprints provides affordable access to instruction that might otherwise be out of reach, removing financial barriers so that talent and interest, not family income, determine who gets to participate. The programs culminate in public performances where students showcase their work to families and community members. By providing mentorship from experienced teaching artists alongside creative spaces where young people can express themselves, Footprints helps develop resilience, teamwork, and a lasting appreciation for the arts.
