GBS/CIDP Foundation of Canada
The GBS/CIDP Foundation of Canada supports people living with Guillain-Barré syndrome and chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy, two serious neurological conditions that affect the peripheral nerves and can cause temporary or lasting paralysis. Based in Whitby, the foundation provides patient education, research funding, and peer support programs to help those diagnosed navigate their recovery and manage long-term symptoms. The organization connects patients with medical professionals, funds critical research into these rare diseases, and advocates for better awareness among healthcare providers across Ontario and Canada. Through support groups, educational materials, and community outreach, the foundation helps patients and families understand their conditions and access the resources they need during treatment and recovery.
