THE GOLDEN HORSESHOE DISABLED SPORTS ASSOCIATION
The Golden Horseshoe Disabled Sports Association provides athletic training and competitive opportunities for people with physical and sensory disabilities across Oakville and the surrounding region. The organization runs year-round programs in sports ranging from wheelchair basketball and goalball to adaptive swimming and track and field, with coaching staff trained in disability-specific instruction. Participants of all ages and ability levels access equipment, facilities, and competition pathways that help build confidence, community, and athletic skill. By removing barriers to sports participation, the association creates space for disabled athletes to compete at recreational and elite levels while connecting with peers who share similar experiences and goals.
