GOLF FOR THE PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED
Golf for the Physically Challenged operates an adaptive golf program that introduces people with physical disabilities to the sport across the Greater Toronto Area, including Oakville. The organization modifies equipment, instruction, and course access to accommodate golfers with varying mobility levels, visual impairments, and other physical challenges. Participants use specialized clubs, wheelchairs adapted for golf, and other assistive devices while working with trained instructors who understand adaptive techniques. The program focuses on building confidence, improving physical fitness, and creating opportunities for social connection through recreational play. Golf for the Physically Challenged removes barriers that have traditionally kept people with disabilities from enjoying the sport, operating at public and private courses where members can develop skills and compete in tournaments designed for adaptive golfers.
