Heroic Hearts Project Canada

Heroic Hearts Project Canada uses visual art and creative expression to help trauma survivors process their experiences and rebuild their sense of self. The organization provides free art workshops, mentorship, and exhibition opportunities for people recovering from violence, loss, and grief across Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. Participants work with professional artists to explore painting, sculpture, performance, and mixed media as tools for healing and connection. The project recognizes that creative practice can unlock pathways to recovery that traditional talk-based interventions sometimes miss. By centering the voices and stories of survivors through their artwork, Heroic Hearts Project Canada creates space for public conversations about trauma while validating the resilience of those who have endured significant hardship. The organization also trains artists and community workers to facilitate trauma-informed creative programming.
