HUMBER RIVER HOSPITAL VOLUNTEER ASSOCIATION

The Humber River Hospital Volunteer Association organizes and coordinates volunteers who support patients, families, and staff at Humber River Hospital in North York. Volunteers provide companionship to patients, help with wayfinding and information, deliver flowers and mail, and assist with administrative tasks that free up clinical staff to focus on care. The association recruits, trains, and manages hundreds of volunteers across multiple departments and shifts, ensuring consistent support seven days a week. By mobilizing community members to give their time, the volunteer program strengthens the hospital's capacity to serve the people of the GTA while creating meaningful engagement opportunities for residents who want to contribute to healthcare in their neighborhood.
