Jessie's, The June Callwood Centre for Young Women

Jessie's provides housing, counselling, and life skills support to young women aged 16 to 24 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in Toronto. The organization operates multiple residential programs, including emergency shelter and longer-term supportive housing, alongside mental health services, educational programs, and employment training. Jessie's helps residents develop practical skills in budgeting, health management, and conflict resolution while addressing underlying trauma and barriers to stability. Staff work with each young woman to create individualized plans that move toward independence and housing security. The centre serves some of the city's most vulnerable youth, many of whom have experienced abuse, mental illness, or family breakdown.
