JESUIT CENTRE FOR SOCIAL FAITH AND JUSTICE
The Jesuit Centre for Social Faith and Justice works to align Catholic social teaching with concrete action on issues affecting the most vulnerable in Toronto and beyond. The organization researches systemic injustices in areas like poverty, housing, labour rights, and immigration, then translates these findings into advocacy campaigns and policy recommendations. Staff and volunteers engage in community organizing, education, and dialogue to build movements for structural change. By connecting faith traditions with social analysis, the centre challenges its participants to see connections between spirituality and justice work. It operates through research programs, public events, and collaborative partnerships with grassroots organizations and other institutions seeking to address root causes of inequality rather than symptoms alone.
