LEARNING DISABILITIES ASSOCIATION OF YORK-SIMCOE

The Learning Disabilities Association of York-Simcoe uses arts and creative activities to support people with learning disabilities in the Richmond Hill and York-Simcoe region. Through visual arts, music, drama, and other creative programs, the organization provides accessible outlets for self-expression and skill-building. Participants engage in structured classes and community events designed to build confidence, foster social connections, and demonstrate capabilities often overlooked in traditional settings. The association recognizes that creative practice can unlock potential, build community belonging, and provide meaningful engagement for individuals with learning disabilities across all ages. Staff and volunteers work to create welcoming spaces where participants can explore their interests, develop new abilities, and connect with peers who share similar experiences.
