THE LIGHTHOUSE PROGRAM FOR GRIEVING CHILDREN

The Lighthouse Program for Grieving Children provides grief counseling and support services to children and teens who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling, or other close family member. Based in Oakville and serving families across the GTA, the organization offers individual therapy, group support sessions, and educational workshops led by trained grief counselors and mental health professionals. The program recognizes that children process loss differently than adults and need age-appropriate guidance to navigate their emotions and adjust to significant changes in their family structure. Through ongoing support, children develop coping strategies, connect with peers facing similar circumstances, and rebuild a sense of stability following bereavement. The Lighthouse Program combines clinical expertise with compassionate care to help young people move through their grief while maintaining connections to their memories and loved ones.
