LIONS FOUNDATION OF CANADA DOG GUIDES/FONDATION DES LIONS DU CANADA CHIEN-GUIDES

Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides trains and places specially bred and trained guide dogs with people who are blind or have low vision across Canada, including throughout the GTA and Ontario. The organization pairs each guide dog with a recipient at no cost, covering all expenses related to breeding, raising, training, and ongoing support. Beyond guide work, the foundation's dogs assist people with mobility challenges and those living with diabetes. The program relies on volunteer puppy raisers who care for dogs during their first year, professional trainers who refine their skills, and a network of supporters. Recipients receive comprehensive training to work safely and confidently with their guide dog, along with lifetime follow-up care to ensure the partnership remains strong throughout the dog's working life.
