Making Art Making Change
Making Art Making Change runs free art programs for young people experiencing poverty, homelessness, and marginalization across Toronto. Through painting, printmaking, music production, and other creative practices, the organization provides youth with artistic skill-building, mentorship, and pathways toward employment and education. The programs operate from community spaces and schools throughout the city, offering participants a place to develop confidence and explore their creative potential. Beyond studio time, the charity connects young people with internships, gallery exhibitions, and performance opportunities that validate their work and expand their horizons. Staff and volunteer artists work with some of Toronto's most vulnerable youth, many of whom face significant barriers to accessing traditional arts education and cultural spaces.
