THE NEWMARKET HISTORICAL SOCIETY
The Newmarket Historical Society collects, preserves, and shares the stories and artifacts that shaped Newmarket's past. Through exhibits, educational programs, and archival work, the organization helps residents and visitors understand the region's heritage, from its Indigenous roots through industrialization to modern times. The society maintains a collection of photographs, documents, and objects that tell the story of the community's development. By operating a local museum and hosting talks and events, it keeps Newmarket's history alive and accessible. The organization engages schools, families, and history enthusiasts across the Greater Toronto Area who want to deepen their connection to the area's cultural roots.
