NORTH YORK WOMEN'S RESOURCE CENTRE

The North York Women's Resource Centre provides support and services to women facing economic hardship, housing instability, and social isolation in York and surrounding areas. The organization offers practical assistance including emergency financial aid, housing support, job training, and counselling to help women build stability and independence. Through drop-in programs, workshops, and one-on-one support, the centre addresses immediate needs while also working toward longer-term solutions. Staff and volunteers help clients navigate social services, develop employment skills, and access community resources. The centre recognizes that women experiencing poverty often face multiple barriers and works to provide non-judgmental support that meets people where they are.
