Northstar Startups

Northstar Startups provides business training and mentorship to entrepreneurs from low-income and marginalized communities across Scarborough and the GTA. The organization helps aspiring business owners develop viable business plans, navigate legal and financial requirements, and access the networks and resources needed to launch their ventures. Northstar works with participants to identify market opportunities, secure funding, and build the skills required to operate sustainable businesses. The program removes barriers that have historically prevented economically disadvantaged individuals from starting their own enterprises, offering one-on-one coaching alongside group workshops and ongoing support through the critical early stages of business development. By fostering local entrepreneurship, Northstar helps participants generate income and build wealth for themselves and their families.
