OAK RIDGES TRAIL ASSOCIATION
The Oak Ridges Trail Association maintains and promotes a 50-kilometre hiking trail that runs through Aurora and beyond, connecting communities across the Greater Toronto Area. The organization manages trail conditions, organizes guided walks, and leads conservation efforts to protect the natural environment along the route. Through volunteer work parties and educational programs, the association builds public awareness about the ecological significance of the Oak Ridges Moraine. The trail serves as a recreational resource for thousands of visitors annually who seek outdoor activity and connection to the landscape. The association also works with municipalities and conservation partners to ensure the trail remains accessible and well-preserved for future generations.
