OCONTO CAMPERSHIP FUND

The Oconto Campership Fund provides summer camp experiences for children and youth from low-income families across Etobicoke and the GTA. The organization removes financial barriers that prevent young people from accessing arts-focused camps, outdoor education programs, and recreational activities during the school break. By connecting families with camp placements and covering full or partial fees, Oconto enables children to develop new skills, build friendships, and gain confidence through hands-on learning in music, visual arts, theatre, and nature-based programs. The campership program recognizes that summer camp participation contributes to academic readiness, creative development, and overall well-being, particularly for youth who might otherwise spend the season without enrichment opportunities or safe supervised activities.
