OSHAWA-DURHAM RAPE CRISIS CENTRE

The Oshawa-Durham Rape Crisis Centre provides crisis support and counselling to survivors of sexual assault and abuse across Oshawa and the greater Durham region. The centre operates a 24-hour crisis line staffed by trained volunteers and professionals who offer immediate emotional support, safety planning, and information about resources to anyone affected by sexual violence. In addition to crisis response, the organization provides ongoing individual and group counselling, accompanies survivors through medical and legal processes, and delivers community education about sexual assault prevention and support. The centre also trains volunteers to respond with compassion and expertise to callers in their most vulnerable moments, ensuring survivors have access to care regardless of when they reach out.
