Parents Against Driving High
Parents Against Driving High works to prevent impaired driving caused by cannabis and other drugs through education, advocacy, and community engagement. The organization provides evidence-based resources for parents, educators, and young people about the dangers of driving under the influence of substances beyond alcohol. Operating across Toronto and beyond, Parents Against Driving High partners with schools, community groups, and policy makers to raise awareness about impaired driving risks, particularly as cannabis legalization has changed the landscape of substance use. The charity conducts public campaigns, distributes educational materials, and supports research into drug-impaired driving prevention. By focusing on the gap in public understanding about non-alcohol impairment, the organization aims to reduce accidents, injuries, and fatalities on roads in the Greater Toronto Area and across Canada.
