Park People

Park People mobilizes communities across Toronto to reclaim, redesign, and activate public parks through art, culture, and creative placemaking. The organization works with residents, artists, and local groups to transform underused green spaces into vibrant gathering places through murals, installations, performances, and participatory design projects. Rather than top-down park management, Park People builds on the creativity and knowledge of the people who use these spaces daily, creating opportunities for artists to lead community engagement and for neighbours to shape their local environments. By connecting cultural practice with community ownership, the charity strengthens social bonds while revitalizing parks as inclusive public assets across the GTA.
