PEOPLE Players Foundation

PEOPLE Players Foundation creates performance opportunities for adults with intellectual disabilities across Toronto and the GTA. The foundation operates a theatre company where performers with intellectual disabilities act in original productions, develop creative skills, and build confidence through live performance. Beyond the stage, the organization provides year-round programming that includes drama workshops, social events, and training in performance techniques. By centering people with intellectual disabilities as artists rather than audience members, PEOPLE Players challenges stereotypes while offering meaningful creative expression and community belonging. The foundation has supported hundreds of performers in finding their voice through theatre and connecting with peers in a welcoming, artistically rigorous environment.
