The Phoenix Leadership Project
The Phoenix Leadership Project works with youth aged 12 to 18 who have experienced trauma, loss, or significant life challenges. The organization provides mentorship, leadership training, and peer support in the GTA to help young people rebuild confidence and develop skills for navigating difficult circumstances. Through structured programming that combines one-on-one mentoring with group workshops, participants learn resilience, communication, and decision-making in a safe environment. The Project recognizes that many young people in Thornhill and surrounding areas need more than academic support to thrive, and it focuses on the internal work of healing and growth. Staff and volunteer mentors guide participants toward recognizing their own strengths and creating positive paths forward, whether in education, employment, or personal relationships.
