The Primitive Integrated Naturalist Education (P.I.N.E.) Project

Legal name: THE PRIMITIVE INTEGRATED NATURALIST EDUCATION (P.I.N.E.) PROJECT

The P.I.N.E. Project teaches wilderness survival skills and ecological knowledge to youth and adults across Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. Through hands-on programs, participants learn primitive skills such as fire-building, shelter construction, foraging, and natural navigation while developing a deeper understanding of local ecosystems and their place within nature. The organization combines practical outdoor education with environmental awareness, helping people of all ages build confidence and self-reliance in natural settings. By reconnecting participants with fundamental skills and the natural world, P.I.N.E. aims to foster environmental stewardship and personal growth in urban and surrounding communities.
