PROACTION, COPS & KIDS

PROACTION, COPS & KIDS brings together police officers and at-risk youth in Toronto through mentoring relationships and recreational programs. The organization pairs young people facing systemic barriers with police mentors who provide consistent support, guidance, and positive role modeling. By fostering direct connections between law enforcement and the community, the program works to build trust, improve life outcomes for participants, and create pathways away from crime and toward education and employment. The mentorship model recognizes that stable adult relationships can significantly impact a young person's trajectory, offering practical assistance with school engagement, goal-setting, and navigating challenges. The organization operates throughout the GTA, serving youth who might otherwise lack access to caring adult mentors and resources that support personal development.
