ROYAL CANADIAN AIR CADETS 140 AURORA SQUADRON

Royal Canadian Air Cadets 140 Aurora Squadron operates a youth program that introduces young people aged 12 to 18 to aviation, aerospace, and military fundamentals through hands-on training and mentorship. Based in Aurora, the squadron combines classroom instruction with flying opportunities, leadership development, and character-building activities designed to prepare cadets for careers in aviation and defence. Members participate in drill training, navigation exercises, and regular flying sorties while learning discipline and teamwork. The program is tuition-free and welcomes youth from across the Greater Toronto Area. Cadets gain certifications in aviation ground school, first aid, and survival skills, with many going on to pilot training and military service. The squadron relies on volunteer instructors and community support to deliver its curriculum year-round.
