Schroeder Ambulatory Centre

Schroeder Ambulatory Centre provides accessible arts and cultural programming to residents of Richmond Hill and the Greater Toronto Area. The centre operates studios and performance spaces where community members of all ages and backgrounds can take classes, create work, and attend exhibitions across visual arts, music, theatre, and dance. Rather than charging fees that exclude lower-income participants, the centre maintains a sliding scale model and offers free programming to ensure arts access isn't limited by ability to pay. The organization believes creative expression strengthens community bonds and individual wellbeing, so it prioritizes serving marginalized populations including seniors, people with disabilities, recent immigrants, and youth from underserved neighbourhoods. Through its teaching artists and volunteer instructors, Schroeder Ambulatory Centre removes barriers that typically prevent people from engaging with arts and culture.
