South Asian Canadians Health & Social Services

South Asian Canadians Health & Social Services provides arts and cultural programming that strengthens mental health and social connection within South Asian communities across the Greater Toronto Area. The organization uses traditional and contemporary arts practices, including music, dance, visual arts, and storytelling, to address isolation and build belonging among newcomers, seniors, youth, and families. Programs are delivered in culturally relevant ways that honor heritage while supporting integration and wellbeing. Based in Brampton, the organization recognizes how arts engagement can reduce stigma around mental health in communities where such conversations have historically been difficult. By creating safe spaces for cultural expression and community gathering, South Asian Canadians Health & Social Services helps members process experiences, share identities, and develop stronger social networks that improve overall health outcomes.
